Dudro

The yellow line project an initiative of Gati Dance Forum resulted in a short film titled "Dudro" made by Dhanya Pilo ( filmmaker) and me. The following snaps are from the film "Dudro" .

The Yellow Line Project (YLP) invited collaborations between choreographers and media artists to explore the intersections between dance, film and public spaces in Delhi.

The focus of the dance-films will be Public Spaces in Delhi. Each project was created around a specific urban site in Delhi, be it a heritage site, a foot bridge, pavement or a construction site. The content and intention of the dance and the way it was filmed, therefore, was in constant dialogue with and shaped by the history and physicality of the chosen site.

The project included original works by:
Navtej Singh Johar & Ken Furudate
Rajyashree Ramamurthi & Desmond Roberts
Parimal Phadke & Dhanya Pilo
Surjit Nongmeikapam & Frederic Lombard
Preethi Athreya & Yashaswini R
Rakesh MPS & Asim Waqif
Sonia Khurana

The Yellow Line Project was facilitated by artists Liz Aggiss & Sonia Khurana.

YLP was partnered by Royal Norwegian Embassy, Ministry of Culture, Japan Foundation, Pro Helvetia- Swiss Arts Council, The British Council, South East Dance, Bharat Forge, Meeto Memorial Award.
